Jive Time Radio ran for 3 years and was dedicated to bringing you Rock ‘n’ Roll and Rockabilly including Jump Blues and Doo-wop.
As a promotional media station, we broadcasted around the clock, 7 days a week to the World.
We had music coming at you straight back from the ’50s, through to the sounds of today’s bands. Plus various shows presented by some of the well-known names in online radio, including the late Neil Breaks aka Krazy Kat Daddy.
But sadly, due to illness and other family commitments, we had to close.
The listeners were so supportive but at the same time, devastated about this news.
These are just a few of the messages we received.
“Very sorry your station is about to close, you have given us listeners some excellent rock ‘n’ roll taking me back to the ’50s, I hope all goes well for you in the future.
kind regards – thanks for the music” ~ Mick
All the very best, take care. ~ Jacquie
I have only been listening, in my garage while working on bikes etc, to your station for about three months, since my missus found you and gave you to me I have listened to nothing else. Brilliant radio, mechanic’ing and dancing go together well. I would like to thank you for the pleasure you have given me.
So again Thank’s and good luck for the future. ~ JohnT
I will miss you all dearly! Since finding your station two years ago I’ve tuned in every day. I hope life takes a better turn for you xx ~ Ann Law
Enjoyed your show which sadly will end but I sincerely hope one-day Jive Time Radio will return. If I won a million I would donate it to you so your station would keep going. It’s tough to say goodbye of three years of dedication, but you very much did spread the events of the rockabilly scene to the world. ~ Max Brand
So gutted I listen to the show all day at work ~ Ricki Cliffe
😢😢😢… what a shame!!! Thank you for these hours spent listening to you from France. The music and the shows were very good 👌👌👌… good continuation for the future !!! 🤘🤘🤘 ~ Pascal Route
We also received a few messages of thanks from our presenters.
It’s been an honor playing Elvis and being part of your fantastic station. Jive Time was one of the first stations to pick up Blue Suede Connection and the very first in the UK. TL and I will miss you and wish you all the best. ~ Dan Hawthorne
Many listeners didn’t want to see Jive Time Radio finish, so we asked if they would like a monthly podcast of Non-Stop Rockin’ Music. And the request was overwhelming.
So as not to disappoint, we decided to leave the site running and continue by putting together a monthly podcast of all the music we played in between our shows starting from September, on the new Jive Time Memories.
Two of our listeners, Pascal Route and Debbie Cartwright, came up with the title and slogan…
…Let’s Keep the Jive Alive
We will also continue to advertise events happening in and around the UK, along with our sister site, The Saturday Hop.
We will miss broadcasting and would like to thank everyone for their support but more importantly to our listeners, for tuning in during our time on the air.
